TURNER PRIZE 2009
6 October 2009 – 3 January 2010
Arguably the world’s most recognised and prestigious award for contemporary art, the Turner Prize presents the very best of current British art. This is your chance to discover what’s new in British art now.
The four shortlisted artists are:
Enrico David who creates striking yet disconcerting images, objects and installations populated by misfit characters
Roger Hiorns who is known for instigating mechanical or chemical processes that result in arresting sculptures and installations
Lucy Skaer whose highly original drawings, sculptures and films that hover between recognition and ambiguity, figuration and abstraction
Richard Wright who creates subtle and meticulous wall paintings that are made in and ‘by’ the space in which they are shown.
